Marra Construction completed this $2,500,000.00 Design and Build project in 2006. The 4100m2 storage facility was purposely designed taking into account the weight of grain against the outer precast concrete walls which acted as retaining walls and also the slope of the roof which was based on the ‘angle of slip' of the grain. All internal surfaces were finished with angled flashings to ensure that the inside of the building was “bird roosting' proof.

Marra Construction coordinated the installation of the purpose built grain dispensing machinery which incorporated in ground tunnels and over head tubes with a continuously circulating chain and discs pulling the grain to various outlet points.

The building is a prominent feature on the corner of Hull Road and Totara Street at the Mount.
