HOT SPOT APARTMENTS
The Marra Group completed the Hot Spot development in December 2003 for leading designer and developer Dr Robert Donald. The project was developed to meet the increased demand for apartment living and holiday accommodation in the popular Mount Maunganui region.
The apartment complex is built at the foot of 'The Mount' opposite the hot pools in one of the prime Mount Maunganui sites and comprises 4 levels with 17 separate apartments. It was built to a very high standard at a cost of $4million and was completed ahead of time and on budget.
The structure consisted of reinforced concrete walls, floors, beams and columns and had a solid plaster exterior. Powder coated aluminium joinery, tiled balconies and glazed handrails completed the upmarket and contemporary finish.
