FASHION ISLAND RETAIL OUTLET

Marra Construction initially tendered and then negotiated the Fashion Island Complex in 2006.

Built by Marra Construction for client Prime Retail of Auckland to supply additional retail space to the rapidly growing Papamoa Region.

The complex consisted of 20 separate tenancies and a stand alone cafe. There was extensive landscaping design through Marra Construction.

Brief construction specification included for concrete floors, Precast concrete external and inter-tenancy walls, structural steel roof framing with low pitch steel roofs. Exposed aggregate walkways with timber decks and seating, aid the stained ply and cedar weather board cladding aesthetics.

The project was contracted on a hybrid GMP basis and was completed on time and within budget. The project was fast tracked to an exceptionally tight time frame with commencement in Dec 05 and the centre opening in May 06.
