ALLBRITE INDUSTRIES

Marra Construction 2004 Ltd won the invited tender project for the new factory and offices of Allbrite Industries, a national recycling chain.

The project consisted of a factory and stand alone administration office covering more than 3000m2. More than 500m3 of concrete was pumped to the foundations and floor slabs, which comprised a number of cast in trenches and pits to take the mechanical conveyor and sorting systems.

There was in excess of 1100m2 of precast concrete panels erected on site with approximately half the panels constructed as tilt up panels on site and the other being sourced from a supplier. This was planned in such a way so as to cut down on the project delivery time.

The project commenced in May 2006 and was handed over on time in December 2006.
