Marra won this invited tender of approx $1.5 million and commenced on site in June 2006.

The challenges forseen at tender time were the exceptionally fine tolerances of the concrete floor, 2mm over 3m, and the very large precast concrete tilt panels.

As a result of time constraints and size, 40MPa concrete was used in all panels to assist in obtaining the minimum strength requirements to lift the panels in as short a time as possible. The resulting 1300m2 of panels were erected in accordance with the very tight project time frame.

The concrete floor with an area of more than 1400m2, was laid and machine floated with ride on power floats. The final outcome was a floor of extremely high quality.

With 1100m2 of concrete yard area, the total area of concrete floors and panels exceeded 4000m2.
